Frequently asked questions
- Which nib size should I choose?
- Our fountain pens normally come with a steel nib in medium (M), which we recommend if you are unsure. You may also choose F, EF or B at no extra cost; for left-handed writers we suggest a fine nib, as the ink dries more quickly and smudges less.
- How is the fountain pen filled?
- It can be filled with the converter, which allows you to use bottled ink, or with standard international cartridges; both are supplied with the pen. Among our accessories you will also find a set of 36 cartridges in black or blue ink.
- Is a gold nib available?
- Yes, for a supplement you may choose a solid 18 kt gold nib, in yellow or white gold, in F, M or B. These are Bock nibs made in Germany; as availability may vary, we recommend contacting us before you order.
- How should a fountain pen be cleaned?
- We recommend rinsing the nib and feed regularly in lukewarm water, so that no dried ink remains, and letting the pen dry completely before reassembling it. Please avoid chemical products and ultrasonic cleaners, as they may damage it.
