Frequently asked questions

What is galuchat stingray leather?
It is the natural skin of the stingray, also known as galuchat, which offers a unique tactile experience. Japanese samurai already used it on the grips of their swords to obtain a perfect hold.
Where do the leathers come from?
The natural leathers we use come from the food and fishing industries, from controlled sources. We are proud to contribute in this way to the circular economy, giving these skins a second life.
Why is salmon leather sustainable?
It is a by-product of the fishing industry, so it gives value to a raw material that would otherwise be wasted. It is also processed using renewable hydroelectric and geothermal energy.
May I place the cap on the end of the pen while writing?
On leather pens it is better to avoid this, as barrels made of natural materials such as leather could be damaged when the cap is placed on them. On pens with a silver barrel, however, this can be done without any risk.
