Black Resin is a fountain pen of classic simplicity: cap and body are turned in Italy from hard black resin, set off by details plated in 18K gold.
The precious touch is in the grip section, in solid sterling silver engraved with a vintage guilloché pattern: the part of the pen your fingers hold every time you write, where the silver can be appreciated up close.

Every Grifos pen is made by hand in our workshop in Castiglione Torinese.
- Craftsmanship
Cap and body are hand-turned in Italy from hard resin; the metal parts are 18K gold-plated. The grip section is solid sterling silver 925 engraved with a vintage guilloché pattern, and bears the hallmark *TO 675, our silversmith guild symbol, and the oval 925 stamp of sterling silver.
- Writing
The pen takes both a pumping converter and international standard ink cartridges, and the cap twists open. It is fitted with a gold-plated steel medium nib that writes a consistent, smooth line; fine, extra fine and broad nibs are available at no extra cost, and the pen can be upgraded with a solid 18K gold nib. The pen is also available as a rollerball.

Online we engrave the clip (up to 20 characters), the cap ring (up to 20) and the engraving window (up to 50), where this model has them: a name, a date, initials or a short phrase. Each engraving costs €15. For other parts of the pen or a longer text, please contact us before you order and we will tell you what can be done on this model.
Yes, we also engrave company logos and symbols. Please contact us before ordering at info@grifos-pens.it: complex symbols may need more time and an additional cost.
We prepare every order in 2 working days. Then the insured courier delivers in 1–2 working days in Italy (up to 4 for the islands and Calabria) and in 3–5 working days to the rest of the world. When the pen leaves, you receive an email with the tracking link.
Shipping is free on orders from €80. Below €80 it costs €10 in Italy and €25 to the rest of Europe and the world; express delivery can be chosen at checkout. Outside the European Union, import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient.
Yes, with PayPal: in 3 interest-free instalments for orders from €20 to €3,000, or in 6, 12 or 24 monthly instalments with interest for orders from €120 to €5,000.
