The story of Fafnir
The Fafnir's solid sterling silver body is engraved with a guilloché pattern that recalls the bark of a tree: a natural texture rendered in silver, set off by 18K gold-plated trims.
The guilloché is engraved on original vintage machines (Parker, 1930). It is the engraving technique Fabergé used for his masterpieces, kept alive here with tools from another era.
For those who value the craft of another era, or as an anniversary gift.
From our workshop
Every Grifos pen is made by hand in our workshop in Castiglione Torinese.
- Craftsmanship
Handcrafted in Italy in solid sterling silver 925. The guilloché is engraved on original vintage machines (Parker, 1930). Each pen is hallmarked *TO 675 and 925, certifying the precious metal used and our membership in the goldsmiths’ register.
- Writing
Dual filling system: converter or international standard cartridges, in black or blue ink of your choice. Gold-plated steel nib, medium (M); fine (F), extra fine (EF) and broad (B) are available on request at no extra cost. Optional upgrades: a solid 18K gold nib, including stub (calligraphic) nibs, or a rollerball point. On request it can also be made as a ballpoint pen.
