The story of Liocorno
The body of the Liocorno is hand-turned from natural horn imported from India. The horn is a by-product of the food industry: no animal is killed for it, and the species is not protected under the Washington Convention (CITES).
The cap and grip in solid sterling silver are engraved with deep, elegant lines, and rose gold-plated and silver-plated details bring the two materials together.
For those who choose natural materials and love the meeting of horn and silver.

From our workshop
Every Grifos pen is made by hand in our workshop in Castiglione Torinese.

- Craftsmanship
The body is hand-turned from natural ox horn, imported from India: a byproduct of the food industry that we regularly purchase in Italy, and according to the Washington Convention (CITES) the ox is not an endangered species. Cap and finger grip are solid sterling silver engraved with deep lines, and the fittings are rose gold-plated and silver-plated. The pen bears the hallmark 925 and *675 TO, attesting to the use of sterling silver and our membership in the silversmith guild.
On request, before ordering, the details can be plated in yellow, red, silver or black, or made in oxidized silver.
- Writing
The pen comes with an international standard rollerball refill by Schmidt, the German brand, easy to find anywhere in the world, with a choice of black or blue ink.
