We offer the option to upgrade the pen you purchase from our shop with a premium feature: a solid gold 18 kt nib. Our nibs, specifically the Bock nibs type 250 come from Germany. The are famous for their exceptional quality, providing a soft and fluid writing experience. We offer solid 18kt gold nibs, which are superior to the more commonly found 14kt nibs. While 14kt nibs may be more affordable, 18kt gold has a higher intrinsic value, providing a smoother, more refined writing experience. Beyond their performance, a solid gold 18k nib is also an investment. With the price of gold steadily increasing, owning a higher-karat gold nib not only enhances your writing but also holds lasting value over time.
To cater to your specific preferences, we provide a range of options for solid gold 18 kt nibs in various sizes. You can choose from Fine (F), Medium (M), Broad (B) in yellow or white gold. However, availability may vary, so we recommend contacting us before placing your order to confirm if the desired nib size and nib model is currently in stock.
Please feel free to reach out to us to inquire about the availability of your preferred size for the solid gold 18 kt nib, ensuring that it aligns perfectly with your fountain pen requirements.
We take great care in the quality control and testing of our nibs before we ship them to ensure that you receive a flawless product. Each nib undergoes a meticulous examination to guarantee its performance and writing precision.
Choosing the right nib for your fountain pen can indeed be a subjective decision. To help you make an informed choice, consider the following factors:
- Writing Style: Keep in mind that the width of a writing line may vary depending on your writing manner, including hand pressure, the type of paper you use, and the ink preference.
- Medium Nib: The medium nib is the most commonly used and provides a balanced flow, creating a moderately sized line. It offers versatility for various writing purposes and is suitable for everyday writing.
- Fine Nib: If you prefer a narrower line and enjoy writing with finer letters, the fine nib is an excellent choice. It is also beginner-friendly and well-suited for everyday writing tasks.
- Extra Fine Nib: For those who prefer an exceptionally thin writing line, the extra fine nib is ideal. It works well for precise and detailed writing, making it suitable for individuals who frequently write numbers or require finer strokes.
- Broad Nib: Broad size nibs are designed for larger, calligraphy-style writing. They produce bold and expressive lines, adding flair to your handwriting.
- Left-Handed Considerations: Left-handed individuals may benefit from a fine nib, as the thinner ink flow tends to dry quicker, reducing the chances of smudging or staining the paper.
Ultimately, choosing the nib size is a matter of personal preference. We encourage you to explore and find the nib that suits your unique writing style and brings you joy when using your fountain pen.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you find the perfect nib to enhance your writing experience.
